maybe he is deluded but I think your statement would be more believable if you said something like "my dad was abusive and controlling" and we don't have anything to do with him because of that and he caused all of this himself because of the way he treated us instead of saying he is a "wee bit deluded".
You can believe us or not; regardless, we seek to remind all readers that anyone can post anything online. Just because John Brosnan writes "beautiful" blog posts that "make [one's] heart ache" does not mean that it is true. While he seems to think that my mother (this is Grace writing) convinced me that he was a terrible father, he did the convincing.
But I suppose you don't have to believe this, because I could easily be lying. I'm the only person to confirm that what I am writing is the truth. John is the only person to confirm what he is writing is the truth. So who's word do you take?
Be critical of what he writes; be critical of what I write; just please don't believe every blog post on the Internet.

I'm about halfway through reading your dad's blog, and I'll admit, he seems to be paranoid with a persecution complex.
